Run a padel tournament with fixed partners

Keep your teammate for every match. Next Round can rotate your opponents in Americano or use the pair standings to draw each Mexicano round. Fixed mode works with 4–32 players and requires an even number of names.

Choose your pairs before starting

  1. Select Americano or Mexicano, then choose Fixed under Partners.
  2. Enter each pair’s names consecutively: names 1 and 2 are Pair 1, names 3 and 4 are Pair 2, and so on.
  3. Check the pair preview. Reorder the names to change the partnerships before creating the tournament.
  4. Choose the available courts, points total, and a round count or duration.

Pairs stay together in both matches and rests. You cannot leave one unmatched player in fixed mode: add their partner or use rotating partners.

How opponents are chosen

Americano: the schedule is prepared in advance. With enough courts for all available pairs, a full opponent cycle takes T−1 rounds for an even number of pairs, or T rounds for an odd number of pairs, where T is your pair count. Each pair meets every other pair once in that cycle. An odd pair count means one pair rests each round.

With fewer courts, the draw prioritises pairs with fewer scheduled appearances and varies opponents where possible. The same full-cycle guarantee does not apply.

Mexicano: save every court’s score before drawing the next round. Rest allocation comes first, then eligible pairs are ordered by the standings: first plays second, third plays fourth, and so on. Opponents can repeat.

Example: six players, three fixed pairs

Enter Alex, Sam, Jo, Lee, Max and Kim in that order. Your pairs are Alex + Sam, Jo + Lee, and Max + Kim. With one court and three Americano rounds, each pair plays two matches, meets both other pairs and rests once.

One valid schedule is: round 1, Alex + Sam vs Jo + Lee; round 2, Alex + Sam vs Max + Kim; round 3, Jo + Lee vs Max + Kim. The organiser may produce a different order.

Score each pair once

For a 24-point match, the two scores must add up to 24. A 14–10 result gives the winning pair 14 points and the opposing pair 10, not 28 and 20. Pair standings and results cards count each match’s points once per pair.

When some pairs rest, Smart Bye uses average points per completed match. A pair with 28 points from two matches has an average of 14; a pair with 15 points from one match has an average of 15. A rest adds no points and no match. Pairs with no completed matches remain unranked.

For total points, ties are separated by point difference, then wins. For averages, win rate breaks ties. Exact ties share a rank.

Stop when your booking ends

You can plan by rounds or select 60, 90, 120 minutes or a custom duration. The timer is a reminder, not an automatic finishing rule. End the tournament when ready: final standings count only rounds with results on every court. Incomplete rounds remain saved but are excluded in full.
